On ISFs is there a threshold at which it should blip or should it do it at any revs.

After exhaustive “will it won’t it” testing I’ve determined mine will only blip at or above 4K rpm - in F Mode. (Sport mode and Manual Mode)

Is it configurable or fixable to bring it down to say, 2k?

I just want more of it.

Sorry I forgot to ask if 4K rpm is the normal threshold for blipping on ISFs (and RCFS GSFs)

What does this “blipping “ refer to please?. Sorry I’m very naive

I suspect it’s the Rev matching on downshift  in Sports S+ and manual.

Thankyou I have no technical or mechanical knowledge come to think of it I don’t really know much about much 😹

Hi @Arth_Vader

I've found that with my ISF, in Sport and manual mode, it has to be above 2k rpm to rev match (blip) on downshifts. And between 2-3k rpm if you want to go from 2nd to 1st.

It could be dependent on temperature of the trans fluid, engine oil and coolant etc. As sport mode is only used lightly on 2 bars indicated oil temp, then properly on 3 bars indicated.

Pulling 2 fuses to reset the ECU and TCU did mine some good. Seemed to shift smoother, responds a bit better and slightly more mpg. Might be worth a shot ?

Thanks 2k seems more like I was expecting.  Downshifting any gearbox at 3900 rpm (won’t do it before 4K in any gear) without a revmatch would seem to me like it would be putting unnecessary strain on the gearbox.

I will try the fuses thanks.

I never got round to resetting the ecu but H&S catback exhaust brought the blips out in manual + sport
