I didn't have that problem, did you have everything turned off in the car as it doesn't take a lot to run the Battery low, I spoke to a Toyota buff about what they did with Hybrid cars that are left a while on the forecourt and he told me every one -two weeks  they start the car and put the aircon on Hi, the car thinks your driving and keeps the motor running, or put your foot flat to the floor and that keeps the engine running.

Hi mate. I have a 2017 ct200h. I’ve tried to install the update from satnavishop via usb, got past the ‘enter code’ stage and it appeared to start the install, but when the petrol engine stops running the screen tells me I have to restart the engine to continue uploading data. Did you have this problem and if so, how did you solve it? Cheers.

I updated my 2017 CT with a USB from satnavishop in 2022. Just followed their instructions, "Started" the car, switched A/C, lights etc. off and started the update. Took 100 minutes, and I'm not sure if the engine actually ran during that time, but had no trouble. It was a 2022 update but the map was dated 06/2021, so was already out of date. Haven't updated it since. If I'm going anywhere that involves new(ish) road layouts, I just use Google Maps on my smartphone in a vent mounted holder. Irritating when you've alread got a built-in satnav, but Google, and doubtless other phone based systems, are far superior to anything the Lexus system can offer. Shame it doesn't have a working screen mirroring system in the car.
