Thats why i posted John i cant see anything in the 600 page manual. There is section on heated windscreen/wipers (if you have them) . Im interested to know if they are heated do they turn on automatically when you put the outside mirrors on or the rear window. Maybe the UX doesn't have them or doesn't need them. Hybrids warm up quickly does the residual heat from the engine keep them running free when the temperature's plummet ?

It is an interesting question...

I would guess, that the UX does not.

I think(?), and I will need to check my manual, that my aged RX 300 ( 2003/4), does?

I know it has the rear heated of course, but also can see that it has the front screen elements, across where the wipers sit - and vaguely recall mention of heated jets?

I also use a good quality screen wash - I like Prestone Extreme, and use Prestone to de-ice - as I do not like scraping the windscreen...

e.g., https://www.wilko.com/prestone-extreme-screenwash-concentrate-18%C2%B0c-2l/p/0502834?msclkid=fd3fc71e9e1b182565b198bb908213d6&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=PLA%3A%20Travel%20%26%20Motoring%20-%20Motoring%20-%20Generics&utm_term=4577060751458171&utm_content=AU%3A%20Car%20Cleaning&gclid=fd3fc71e9e1b182565b198bb908213d6&gclsrc=3p.ds

I can`t see anything either Bart---and I`ve looked through 2 UX Manuals for your year of manufacture.

Time for you to ask Lexus.

I asked Lexus customer services today John. The rep didn't know but rang me back after speaking with a product manager. Unfortunately the UX does not have heated washer jets. Also it is not just my model it is the entire UX range that doesn't have heated washer jets. Thought that must be the case when i couldn't find anything in the 600 page manual.

Your right Piers the entire UX range doesn't have heated washer jets. Wise words use a quality screen wash. There are some on the market they would struggle against a good frost.
