bluetooth pairing and contacts transfer

Anyone know how to upload the telephone contacts from an Iphone 6plus via Bluetooth to a 2005 sc430. the phone pairs with the lexus ok, (albeit takes a long time and many attempts), and then a msg on the nav screen says `transfer phone contacts` athough nothing shows on my phone screen confirming its paired status or anything else re the Bluetooth being connected.

I think that you have to initiate the transfer from the 'phone - not the car. At least that's what I had to do on my RX400H

You cannot do it, not in bulk anyway. The Bluetooth protocol that the system uses for contact transfer was blocked/not support by apple as it was deemed insecure. You could transfer them one by one but not sure if that is even supported now.

In the past people used to transfer their contacts to a different phone (e.g. some old Nokia) via the SIM and upload them that way. There was also a Mac program written called Prius Phonebook which will take all your contacts and uploaded them via Bluetooth on your Mac. I found a supposed copy of it here:

but if you download it, I'd upload to Virustotal.com to give you some assurance that it doesn't contain something nasty before installing/running it. It probably won't even run on Catalina, it hasn't been updated for 12 years.

Thanks for the info. At the moment, I can send and receive calls, may try the `one at a time` transfer method of my most used numbers.
