Hey all,

I hope you are all well?

I am still loving my '04 RX 300 and Lexus Glasgow loaned myself their new RX 450h F Sport Takumi. It got myself thinking about the technology & how far Lexus has came over the last 15 years or so!

My main thought is however, the second gen RX can be had for around £3-5k these days and the new RX 450h that I tested was over £62k!

I know we all love our Lexus RX models regardless of year, I was just thinking with regards to everything the mk2 offers is the mk4 worth £55k+ more?

What are your thoughts on the RX? (I've seen/heard from some of you great prices that you guys have paid for 2nd gen RX models)

Very good short comparison. The ONLY negative thing I can say about my 2004 RX 300 is the fuel consumption. The rest of the car is great. Not sure still whether the extra I paid for the 400h is worth it? The jury is still out on that one!

I don 't wince quite as loud when filling up the 400h and then looking at the mileage covered. If you are not doing mega mileage per year, then the RX 300 is still a cracking car.

Look out! I might be selling mine!
