aye, they’re brassed off with good reason - I don’t think I’ve exactly endeared myself to many of them with my U-turns.....

 

pale blue car - U turn cos missus hated the colour 

 

silver car - U turn cos Lexusman offered me TUF, and I then gushed about it after reading Richard’s 54pg build thread 

 

so yes, can’t say I blame them tbh.....

 

I’m hoping they see that it was just that I was overwhelmed by the choice (as unclebob rightly said, I was like a kid in a sweet shop), and I’m inexperienced in SC’s so it took me a while to realise what was important 

 

I’m a decent normal bloke who greatly appreciates all the time and help they’ve given me and I’ll apologise to them at the next meet (covid permitting....)

Hi Paul,

I don't think you have anything to offer an apology for. I've met a lot of the guys on LW and though none could be described as 'normal,' some are not slow to share an opinion but they're all good folk. I feel slightly (only very slightly) sorry for the dealers but not the members. They will laugh at you, with you and at themselves. The thread has kept everyone entertained for a few days. 

The forum is not exactly overrun or over-stretched with SC430 faults to help with or modifications to deliberate on, it's a major event if someone washes a car or puts air in the tyres.

Most of the TUF build thread consists of exhaust, suspension, sensible upgrades, subtle cosmetic changes, cleaning, waxing, maintenance and preservation. It's a very nice machine and will serve you well. Just for a laugh, now that you like silver, why not post again for a re-assessment of the one in Glasgow. 🤣🤣

Out of 6 or 7 members helping with Paul’s request for a car only 2 or 3 have voiced an opinion on the U turns, as I said it tricky when you’re  not restricted on price and several cars come up at once, for me the pale blue one ticked all the boxes .

  I’m sure other cars will come along over the winter months 👍🏻👍🏻
