I would not buy a used VW anything.Have you yet read anything good about a VW dealership ?

Not as yet, but there is always a first time for everything! About 10 years ago, I went to look at a Golf and to trade in my Alfa Romeo 156 GTA against as a deposit (big mistake at the time). They tried to fob me off that the 156 was imported, and it was not showing up on their system and this would therefore affect the p/x price they could offer me. I knew that it wasn't imported, and was less than impressed at this. They also didn't really seem to want my business, so needless to say I went elsewhere...

Always a first time, yes, But with VW one would know that the first time was not part of a continuing trend, more a blip,

"Would you buy a used car from this person?" 

Which is where HJ came from, me thinks.
