Flickering LED in third brake light

Has anyone has this? Can the individual bulbs be replaced, or as a Youtube video suggests, does the whole housing have to be replaced?

You may be able to replace an individual LED if you can open the housing and if you're good with a soldering iron but I think it's most likely to need the whole thing replacing.

last weekend the bulbs in my friends 3rd brake light started to fail on his vw

i removed all the bulbs and replaced them all using a flexible LED strip

and it looks really good and only £4.95 for a 1 metre strip , here is a link for the LED lights

Thank you for the replies. I'll look into that eBay option 200h, soldering is not a skill I have mastered.
