I have an '09 RX 450h and the radio has been dodgy for some time - interference, etc. Now the system (standard not ML) has a mind of its own - won't turn on, won't turn off, won't switch between CD and radio (buttons unresponsive) and when it's on, the volume sometimes just increases spontaneously. Any ideas from anyone? My local dealer has quoted me £90 to have a look but I'm worried this could lead to a few days in the workshop and a hefty bill. Thanks in advance.

Looks like replacement head units are available on eBay, not what I'd call cheap though! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-RX-450H-2009-2015-RADIO-CD-CHANGER-STEREO-HEAD-UNIT-86120-48L50/383588090529

I always replace the factory head units on my cars with an aftermarket DAB stereo but appreciate that's not always to everyone's taste.

Might also be possible to have your unit repaired - http://revivecaraudio.co.uk

It's an 11-year old car so why would you take it to the Lexus dealers anyway and pay their extortionate prices?

Go to either a proper auto electrician or a proper car audio place and get them to have a look. If something needs replacing buy it from an eBay breakers yard or one local to you if you have one.
