Might anyone be able to source a new heater matrix for a rhd GS450h '57 reg?

Apparently they are on back order until the end of September!

Part number I've been told is; 885013A120

I'm hoping one/more of you that have a knack finding parts/suppliers can bail me (and my poor mechanic) out of a jam 🤞

Thanks in advance, Lee

...or maybe the core can be replaced quicker and I bet it'd be cheaper too?

Thanks, that's nearby so I'll drop them a enquiry.

My vehicle is actually in Sheffield and during earlier search I clocked a few radiator repair shops nearby.

Hoho, it helps if you are hunting down the correct part# 🤪

Found a supplier to confirm the correct part (Lexus Parts Direct) and will be delivered direct to the workshop in approx 3 days.

If anyone else needs one for a mk3 GS, then LPD have added the matrix to their website.

Glad to hear it's all sorted!   🙂
LPD is normally my first point of call for parts.

Sounds like your car is in for potentially a dashboard-out job?

It seem that others had a part fart / comms issue but Daniel at LPD showed he's still on point and quickly addressed the issue.

Yes, they are usually my go to supplier too...I emailed them earlier in the week but ended up giving them a quick follow up call today.

Dash out - check

For the record...at the moment, AC condensors are on back-order (highlighted on the left)...

...but heater matrix's are in stock (right hand highlight).

Let's see if the correct part turns up (not out of the woods yet).

Oh my words! What gives?

By the way, now that you have everything out of the way, I'd strongly encourage that you remove or cut a large hole in this rubber grommet circled in red:

On that grommet, there is essentially a slit that lets the aircon condensate water to flow out of the car. Over time, this can seal up and the water then gets redirected to your carpets.

More info here and here.

Good call on the AC drain, thanks for the reminder.

Glad you finally got sorted Lee.

I had a holiday and then a little *ahem* health issue last weekend so I've only just got my GS back but also had a bit of a problem with parts availability. Two and a half weeks but it's finally back outside the house.

I haven't got my car back yet Richard 🙄

The replacement matrix arrived at the workshop yesterday (3 day turn delivery) and apparently it does seem to be lighter than the old one.

Quick update to complete this thread...the new heater core has restored heat to the passenger side of the cabin, so the mrs is happy 🙂
