iPod or phone, which should I go for?

My ipod was stolen from my previous vehicle and I have not replaced it... yet. I have a Samsung Android phone and wondered, as its always with me in the car, whether I would be better served using the phone as my music on the go source or buying another ipod. If the phone is better, which app do folks use?

Go gently on me I'm generally OK with tech but as a silver (retired) surfer I'm definitely not up to speed with music apps.

The Lexus satnav in my 2013 RX is atrocious but may be better in your 2017 NX.

I use my Android phone both to play music from and also use it as a satnav by using either Waze or Google Maps (and sometimes also What 3 Words). Sometimes, I even use it to make/receive calls

Anyway, with all that drain on it, it does need to be kept plugged in to a power socket so I fitted a dual USB with integrated voltmeter, although of course, you don't have to do that.

To answer your question simply, yes, just stick with your Android phone (added bonus is that you won't have to mess with that awful iTunes thing).

Hi Mike. As for music players I've used Spotify for years. I also use Tune in Radio for Internet radio stations. Your NX should connect via Bluetooth to your Samsung phone and your car should play music and make/receive calls and no leads needed (unless the Battery in your phone is caput and always needs charging)
