I’ve made silly mistake, I cracked my CD player faceplate. I heard creaking noise coming out of it and it appeared to be not clipped in properly. So my plan was to put take out the faceplate and put a thin foam tape inside to stop the noise for good. However my attempt failed as I didn’t realise it’s screwed on from behind and cracked it. I rang up Lexus and explained what had happened and that I only require the faceplate replacement not the whole thing. But the only thing they can do is sell me the whole unit which is over £1000. I’m not really sure what to do now. What would you guys and girls suggest? Also this is my first post 😁

I’ve just looked on eBay and seen one identical to this. It’s £250 or best offer and not in the best condition. As a last resort I will have to go for it. As for my local scrap yards they don’t do luxury cars☹️

Have a look for cosmetic repairers. Plastics can be repaired or at least the damage hidden. You're a bit far from me but I've used someone before on my RX. I'd be looking at that before messing with eBay or scrappers.
