This question prompts me to wonder about smaller wheels, rather than bigger ones. The original NX300h had 17 inch rather than 18 inch wheels, presumably with taller sidewall tyres. I suspect it was the best-riding NX, but it would be interesting to hear from anyone who owns one or drove one.  Personally I think the trend to ever bigger wheels and lower profile tyres has gone too far, especially with our disintegrating roads, but I know that the aesthetic appeal of big wheels is important for some buyers.
