USB / MP3

Evening all, 

I have had my Is300h for around 2 weeks now and love it! 

I have a couple of small issues. 

I have tried out two MP3 albums loaded onto a 4gb USB stick which has been formatted to FAT32 and the USB does not show up either in port 1 or 2.

The other issue is my sat nav keeps saying that I need to login to see traffic info. 

I put the mylexus details in but it keeps saying that it can't connect.

USB / MP3 support on the Lexus Infotainment systems has been the source of much frustration to members for some years now. There are various posts across the site covering problems with track file names, play sequencing, etc.

On my IS300H I found I had to create single directories off the USB FAT32 file system root, one directory per artist with album name, and then put the mp3 track files in the relevant directory. I also had to use filenames of the form '01 first track', '02 second track', etc., else they won't play in the order you expect. MP3 tags are ignored, the track filenames being used for track order. If I created a hierarchy of directories, such as artist with sub-directories for albums, that didn't work.

You'll also need to copy the audio files to the newly formatted USB disk, using xcopy/robocopy or the like, or use a utility such as FAT Sorter, else searching for your favourite music will be frustrating.

Finally, check to make sure you've got the latest audio firmware version installed.
