faulty reverse camera

hello to all,

The reverse cam on my 07 gs450h has a poor image so I wondered has anyone manage to link a universal rear camera into the monitor system,

is there any facility to connect the RCA plug to the wiring?

Sillly may be but have tried cleaning the lenes with soft cotton wool.

I've cleaned the lens to within a inch of its life and its no different, I think the coating maybe damaged cause the image is glared in the centre which makes it unusable.

Mine similar, due to too much polishing/dirt abuse having scratched the lens. Was going to swap it out for a new camera unit but never did as use the beeps not the image anyway (only bumped 2 things to date 🤣)

Not sure about aftermarket lens, but seen a few lexus/Toyota ones on the bay for not silly money.
