It's a sad time but inevitable that the Lexus must go. In a post Covid-19 world I don't need two cars, it feels awful just leaving my Lexus on the drive for weeks at a time when before the middle of March it was always in use. We are going down to one car but I'm keeping my three motorbikes 🙂 Heading around a few garages on Saturday to look at cars that are dog friendly so I should get a few prices on the pittance offerings they will be offering for a 2010 IS250 with over 130k mikes on the clock, what do you think?

Hi m8. There are quite a few is250's out there for sale and at really low prices dependant on spec, service history, number of owners etc. You could get an idea of your cars worth by going on we buy any car. Just give a dodgy email address and location.

When I got mine just a few weeks ago prices ranged from £1k to 6k. Mines an 07 plate SE-L with full lexus service history and one owner. 5.5k I paid. Good luck in your hunt.

I've had mine IS250SE-I for nearly 8 years, it was still under warranty when I bought it. Full MDSH up to 60k and then my local trusted garage after that. I'm expecting around £3k.

My car sits on the drive for 4 days of the working week. Wifey works at a place a mile further down the road from my place of work. So we take her car Mon to Thurs then she has every Fri off, so I take my car on Fridays. Weekends we decide the car by what the journey entails.

Her car is a PRHT MX5, which I have to say, is great fun. It's grand going to work with the roof down whenever possible 🙂 even in the winter with the heater at full blast!

I will never part with the Lexus. It owes me nothing, is a doddle to work on those bits that I've always done in the past. Ok it costs £325 or so in road tax...a smidge over £6 a week. It's a lovely car to to drive, is great on a long run or holiday to France/Spain (well, hopefully again in the future!) and wifey loves driving it too. I look at it now as cheap motoring as I'm not forking out for anything newer. My eldest son has burned his cash through 4 cars while I've had this Lexus.

But to be fair, I don't have 3 motorbikes 🙂, don't think our 4 bicycles counts really!!

Keep it ..... you know you want to really!!

Just my three penneth

+1 on above!

the statement that comes to mind is "You'll have to pry it out of my cold dead hands!" Not that I intend dying any time soon but I have no intention of actually selling my IS, if fact in all of my motoring years I have never in fact sold any of my previous cars! I have always used my cars right up to their dying days ( either total loss on insurance or scrapped due to MOT points out weighting value!)

Even though I am looking to get an ISF I prob won't let the IS go as up til now it has been the best car I have ever owned and got to say it sits on the drive a lot more than 4 days a week, criminal I know!
