My Battery warning lamp has recently started intermittently flashing. I recently changed my Battery, after having to jump start the car. My local garage tested the alternator last weekend  and all seems okay, but the Battery lamp flashed twice this morning on my journey to work. It only seems to flash when I am stationary, or coasting to a stop.

Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this issue? The serpentine belt seems to be fine, and does not sound like it is slipping. The car has 130k miles on the clock,  but drives like brand new. Sorry for the long  post.

Its one of the mentioned items. Test the Battery again, belt might look alright but when my alternator went the belt was wafer thin, no cracks and looked fine.

Has alternator ever been changed? When they go you loose lots of items, power steering lights a nightmare. And also a bloody pain in the neck to fit.

If the alternator's testing alright then it's got to be the belt needing tightening.

Check that all Electrical connections are good and snug with regards to the Battery, alternator and any Earth or Ground points you can see! Seeing that the Battery has been changed and the alternator tested!
