CANBUS connection

I have an opentracker V2 in my car which tracks the car in near-realtime while it's moving. It looks like they have a new version out called Polaris: https://fortebit.tech/polaris/ which seems to make it much easier to read data off the CANBUS which is something I'd always meant to get around to doing but never did.

How easy is it to find the CANL and CANH wires on a lexus? Is it easy enough for any car audio tech person or would I need to get a wiring diagram?

don't know how applicable it is for a harrier but in any case I don't see CANL/CANH on it. I guess I could trace them back from the OBD2 socket

Yeah I know it's on the OBD2 socket, I don't want to leave something plugged into that though. Will tap into the lines somewhere away from the socket. Thanks though!

Why not just tap in at the back of the socket instead of trying to trace them to another place?

I may do, I'm just a bit paranoid about messing with anything near the socket as if that stops working it's not good.
