Recall

Noticed on the dvla my car has recall outstanding, I've spoke to them and its the airbag and I think he said a switch to do with the fuel pump maybe, can't quite remember what he said.

Anyone else had this on there is250? Mine's an 06

My car and most others have had these recalls. The o ring is at the back of the engine, and the inlet manifold has to come off. I had my plugs done at this time while every thing was off.

The air bags cover a multitude of vehicles and is the near side front glove box one. Both jobs done in a day.

Thanks for the reply, good thinking with the plugs! Mines on 88,000 so I was going to do early next year but will get them done. How much was it to get them done while they did the recall work?

If your dash doesn't creak before they do this job make sure you tell them that so if you get it back creaking you can get them to remedy.

If it already creaks/squeaks get them to change the clips that hold the dashboard in with the newer thicker ones. They should know all about this.

They should put £25 worth of fuel in as well by way of compensation.

Thanks for the advice i’ll Say to them about those clips for the dash, can’t be having any squeaks.

If this is the Takata airbag recall I'd get it done asap, those things have maimed people.

Not sure if it’s that, but theyve ordered the parts and are ringing me as soon as they come in so it can be booked in

Just read up on this! Not good!!!! Glad I noticed it on dvla, I had no letter sent to me

How can you tell if it has been done? And what years are involved?

I looked on the dvla mot check website, underneath the mot history it says recalls and it will come up with any outstanding recalls

Spark plugs cost was £150 if my memory serves me right.
