Hi All,

Looking to buy a 2005-2009 RX400h have a few questions if someone could help please?

Are there any differences in the 2005-2009 models?

I see some are “special edition”  but i cant tell any difference?

Is there a way of telling how much life the hybrid Battery has?

Been told to get one with a cambelt change and less than 100,000 miles - this essential?

Any other advice?

have a budget of £5000-£6000 if anyone is selling theres?! The prices seem to vary allot i have seen same year models same millage priced from £4000 up to £9000!

Hi there.

I think the main differences are options such as the Mark Levinson stereo and dvd screens in the rear headrests.

I don't think there is any reason to rule out cars with over 100k miles as long as you check the car over. A well maintained car with over 100k miles could be in better condition than a car with under 100k miles.

These have a cambelt whch should be changed every 100k miles or 10 years. Check it has been done. if not, factor the cost of getting it done yourself, into the price.

Good Luck

When I had my 400h, I had the cam-belt done at Lexus /Bolton, was about £550 fixed price.
