LS430 Purchase

Hi guys,

I am going to view a 2001 LS430 with 170k miles on the clock and am looking for some advice. 
After reading owner reviews and buying guides these cars seem quite solid and people aren’t put off by high mileage examples. What should I be looking out for, are there any common issues especially with a higher mileage car? 
When should the timing belt and water pump be done on these, what can I expect to pay for this?

Also the car has had a JDM air ride controller installed. Has anyone heard of this being done on standard air suspension?

Check the buyers guide in the forum archive there are reams of contributors input.

lots of useful stuff here

all 4 UCAs maybe, rusting air suspension linkages, delaminating windows,, rusting exhaust bits, air struts themselves going kaput,

timing belt, pulleys and Waterpump every 100k miles / 10 years AND you must have by now had a new radiator to save the gearbox ( at 100k miles ) too

best look it all up though

fabulous cars if you fine the right well cared for example and 170k miles is a doddle to have covered
