SatNav Holder

Hello,

Thought I would ask...

I have a Garmin Nuvi 30... quite small.

I have not used it for ages but recently resurrected it.

I have the thing that sticks it to the windscreen but was wondering if anyone locates their SatNav differently?

I have seen various solution on internet sites...

I'm guessing your CD is a single-CD and not a multi-disk CD?

I use a bean bag mount from TomTom which is excellent as it sits securely on top of the dash close to your line of sight and is easy to put onto the floor when you park the car so it is out of site.  The suction mount fixes to a plate on top of the bean bag which has a flexible lead bottom which moulds to the shape of the top of the dash so,it doesn't slide around.  I think it cost about £20 but I bought it a long time ago.

No, it's a 6-CD changer. The slot mount doesn't interfere with playing CDs and it doesn't scratch or mark in any way at all.

The reason I asked was because their FAQ says,

"Can I use it in a Multi-disc CD Player?
No. Multi-disc & autochanger CD Players DVD or navigation player are not compatible. Please do not attempt use of the CD Slot Mount in any player other than a standard in-car single disc type."

I think there must be different kinds of CD changer and slots. This holder doesn't intrude into the slot very far so doesn't interfere with any workings at all.

I've always used Brodit Proclip holders but they are expensive and difficult to get in the UK.

My daughter has a CD slot holder - seems to work fine, slightly different design to the one above.
