Which brand to choose for replacement? Would OEM be Lexus own or a bought in one?

Been quoted £600 for replacement at a main dealer.

OEM Lexus is around the £400.00 mark, fleabay offerings around £100.00 new and rockauto as below. No idea who makes the OEM ones.

Any half decent independent should be able to fit a radiator and fill with fresh coolant for around £100.00.

Getting a genuine Lexus one for £250. Seems a decent price. Labour will be on top.

From a Toyota specialist indy, mainly does super fast Supras.

I did my IS220d recently.... I chose a genuine rad, from lexuspartsdirect  as I just didn't want to grief of a copy part being wrong, wasn't much more and piece of mind.

I fit it in a day, but took my time... had to take the front of the car off, but it was pretty straightforward, just followed the procedure and all good.

Hi Steve, there is plenty of room at the front of the engine so I doubt it will be an awkward job.

Check this video for a quick how-to to at least it gives you an idea, skip to 5mins in for the actual swap.

Good luck.

Cheers, Lee
