Towing eye size?

Anyone know the towing eye thread size?

I'm looking to make a bike carrier and this is the final part to complete.

Think it's M18X4 but want to check before I get my supplier to try and find for me.

why not send him the towing eye?

I did, he still got it wrong. It isn't M18X4.

Probably an automotive size to stop people putting the wrong thing in the hole so to speak.

Think my next option is to get 2 towing eyes and cut/weld a bolt to the end

+1 on it not being a standard size but a ‘special’ and might even be Left Hand Thread!

Best to adapt the manufacture’s OEM towing eye, I expect you can get one on eBay for less than the dealers and prob never been used!
