How to access boot with a dead battery

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've a 2015 is300h with a dead Battery.  Car has been more or less laid up for the last 2 months, have jumped it once and it started no problem.  Ran it for 15 mins and all good and then have just started it every 2nd night.  Went out to it this evening and dead again ☹️.  I can get into the car with the mechanical key from the fob, and the pull down back seats, where I thought there might be a handle to release to boot but alas, no.  Any pointers please ??

Spot on - thanks.  My last car was an Alfa and the boot release was on the inside of the boot that you accessed through the back seat.  I always thought that it was a little funny and was maybe design if somebody got accidently locked in the boot 😄.

there is a lock that the mechanical key fits in the boot, its on the opposite side of the boot handle to the boot button. Mine was gummed up because it had never been used

If you want to know who loves you the most, lock your dog and your wife in the boot of your car for an hour...
