RX300 bluetooth

I have my mobile paired with the car and normally check the connection before I drive anywhere. It will show that it is working but during a journey the phone book will switch off. Any ideas why?

PS. I do not make calls whilst driving, It just annoys me that there is an intermittent fault.

What phone do you use,chances are its your phone rather than the car,try unpairing and pairing again

I used to have a ZTE Blade and I don't remember  having any problem. The new phone is a Samsung galaxy s20a. Does the car system not hold the information from the phone or only when the phone is connected?

is this an example of the early Lexus systems not allowing phone book access while driving?

I have a Samsung Note 9 and mine works fine in my is250 f sport, my car holds the information but you can only make calls,play music etc from the phone when they are paired. The fact that you didn't seem to notice the issue with your old phone seems to indicate that it is either your new phone or possibly what connoisseur has mentioned above
