Shell V-power

Just sent this to Shell ...

From their forums though, doesn't sound like it's due over here :(

Hi.

Was over in Germany for most of last week and discovered Shell V-Power.

About 1200 miles in all and what can i say... My car loves that stuff....

Now back in UK and using Optimax and it's just crap in comparison !!

Why can't we have V-Power here ?? Seems as usual the UK is 3rd world.

If possible, could you give a 'proper' answer ...

Not a politically corrected bunch of marketing flannel - if you know what i mean :)

Well here's the reply ...

Thank you for your recent e-mail.

V-Power is different from Optimax (98RON) in that it is solely a performance based initiative (the increased performance is not necessarily octane derived), whereas Optimax is both a performance and protection based initiative, and currently the highest octane fuel available in the UK.

Shell Optimax is a completely new unleaded petrol giving Optimum performance and maximum protection. At present there are no plans to introduce a higher octane fuel such as V-Power in this country.

If they do, all your pushing of Optimax will have been wasted.
