The worrying thing is that these scams must dupe some people, otherwise they wouldn't keep pumping the blasted things out at us all!

 

Mind you, I had a personal letter from Donald John Trump the other day excitedly informing me that he was sending me $20,500,000 from his scam fund, (via a Turkish bank no less!)

Yes they obviously have managed to dupe some people and that's why they continue to try,every now and again I get one regarding my tv licence saying a payment has failed which I now is not the case and a fake

Makes a change from the usual “we’re calling about your recent accident” I usually tell them to phone back later as I’m not due to have it until tomorrow. A few seconds later the phone goes dead.

That's brilliant - I'll use that when they're back in action.

Today I got an email from Virgin Media about my package being cancelled tomorrow unless I .....  It was indistinguishable from the real Virgin Media save for the sender's address not looking right. Needless to say it was a scam. Aren't there some lovely people in this world.

Yes Alan and the problem is that we tolerate them too much.
