Ditching the skinny tyres (£250 a corner for premium) to standard (£150 a corner) is a most welcome benefit.

Any more recommendations?

I have goodyear eagles on the rear of my gs, great tyre but at the standard size i find visualy the sidewall looks a bit bubbly rather than blocky if that makes sense, il need 2 fronts soon i might try toyo as any toyos i have always look blocky on the sidewall which i prefer, i think thr eagles cost me 108 euro each

Probably going to go Michelin Pilot 4.

Too much choice, too many opinions.

Want long life, low rolling resistance, quiet, and very occasional hooning ability.

Original wheels bought off eBay arrived today.

They are excellent! Really good, just the odd blemish, and two useable 5mm+ winter Pirelli Sottozero's. Will keep on the front for now until they wear out a bit more.

Plumped for Continental Premium Contact 6 for the rears for fitting next week.

Had a drive with the new wheels. Much nicer!

If u want to pay top.dollar go for the pilot sport, plenty of cheaper options in my opinion as it not realy a car for heavy conering more straight line power, but everyone has there own preference

Double bonus!

Got new tyres fitted today and now TPMS warning light is out after finding passenger side reset button. Replacement set of wheels had 4 good senders.

Second bonus. Old bling wheels  hopefully being collected tonight for £300.

Managed 37mpg on a 40 mile round trip.

Managed to drive about 5 miles and TPMS error came back on.

Could not remember how I initialised. Button did nothing.

Took for 100k service today at main dealer to see if I had bought a turkey.

All was good except a weeping radiator and a tiny hole in the rear exhaust section.

I thought every main dealer would try to get you to replace shock absorbers.

Hybrid health excellent as well. Phew!

Great news, I bet you are relieved Steve.

And the wife likes driving it. How can you not?

Hopefully driving it to Switzerland in September.

It did well for the 100k service, you must be glad  🙂

I won't forget my 100k service at the main dealer - it would have cost me £2500 if it wasn't for the extended warranty. Leaks from the timing chain cover, VVT-i cam gear replacement, and leak from the aircon condenser. And having to pry the gearbox out of the way to remove a rubber grommet that caused the aircon condensate water to stagnate and wet the carpets....

Interestingly enough, not too long after that service, the family and I did a road trip to Zurich and back. I'm sure you'll love it as much as we did  🙂

Bit of a wash.

First decent picture with correct wheels.

A beautiful looking car that oozes high quality, but does not shout at you.

Big road trip.

380 miles. 37 mpg.

Now have some roof bars. Need a big gloss black roof box next.

Anyone got one?

“ Need a big gloss black roof box next.“

380 miles, 29 MPG.     😀

Will be interesting to see the result.

Will be tricky to fill the car with wine in France without one when we come back from Switzerland.

I can put extra Mr Sheen on the box for more slippiness thru the air!

And today my rear silencer fell off in the middle of Guildford.

Does sound quite growly without.

Will replace both back boxes with stainless. Unless I can be persuaded to have straight thru rear pipes.

Would removal of rear boxes affect MOT time?

Steve, sorry to hear of the demise of the silencer. We know the silencer was 10 yeas old, but at what mileage did the disaster occur ?

11 years and 98000 miles.

Probably fixing the leak at the Y resulted in enough pressure to cause the box to part company with the pipe.
