Hi im looking for the quietest and most comfortable Lexus in my budget (around 15k). I was wondering if a 2012 RX450h is more quieter and comfortable  than a 2014 IS300H?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have owned both, although my RX was a 2016 model (not 2012). Assuming it's valid to compare a 2016 and 2012 RX in my opinion the RX is more comfortable and quieter than a 2014 IS - my IS was a 2014 model.

Hope that helps, keen to hear what other owners have to say

I have owned both a 2014 IS300h f sport and a 2015 RX450h Advance.

The RX450h wins hands down for comfort and quiet (especially if running on Michelin Cross Climates) but the running costs are in a different league, so that is something to think about (60000 miles service is over £700 and a water pump replacement (Toyota weakness) is around a grand).

Fuel consumption on the RX is around the 33mpg figure.

Have you thought about a GS? The quietest and most comfortable car I've owned.

I had a 2014 GS before my RX and RX in comfier because of wheels 235/55 r20 instead of 235/40 r19 in GS. Both ones are top comfy anyway.

I had a 2015 pre face-lift GS300h Luxury which was a beautiful car both comfort wise and extremely economical.  I changed to an RX because I needed to cart around a pushchair etc for a new granddaughter and putting the baby in the RX is easier.

Definitely try the GS you will hardly notice any difference in performance compared with the IS300h

I have a 2011 RX450h and had a 3 month old IS300h as a courtesy car for a day.

I could not wait to give it back and get mine back again but the main reason was I have driven 4x4s for the last 15 year and struggled to climb back out of the IS300h.

The IS300h did not seem to have the same oomph that the RX450h did either.
