While at my local dealer to have the Battery in my keyfob replaced, I saw this RX on the forecourt. Never seen one this colour before.

Is it, or rather was it a genuine Lexus colour? What was it called?

I quite like it I think.....

If I could justify it I would love to have mine reprayed in that gorgeous khaki colour the new UX comes in.

I wonder if it was resprayed for an advertisement or something? I've seen a Lexus on eBay in the same green as the cars they use on the LV adverts.

I just wonder of they get the cars sprayed in a particular colour to suit the ad and then end up at dealers afterwards with strange paint schemes.

Of course these days they can be vinyl wraps as well, so it may be a standard colour underneath.

Thats Mercury Grey

Its just the lighting which makes it look a bit unusual

Have to agree it looks nearer to Mercury Grey, an option on the 3rd Gen.  The car shown in your reference is a 4th Gen I believe Luigi and  colour range differs.

Ops sorry I gave a fast look and did not see it's a 3rd Gen RX, but also 3rd gen has Sapphire Blue , color code 8X1, and Mercury Grey, code 1H9.

It was at Lexus Southampton / Hedge End. I avoided taking a picture because it was waiting for a service and was not for sale, however it was a 63 plate.

Definitely not Mercury Grey. It was a mauve colour, light violet. I thought it looked gorgeous... Certainly different.

You have to be careful which colour lexus you choose as there's is one particular colour which has to have a special crushed glass pigment added and this costs £300 for the pot .i can't remember which colour it was .i was just chatting to a mobile paint repair specialist part of a franchise and they have to specially request it as they only hold a tiny stock for the whole south area .the normal Lexus pigment for that metallic look normally costs about £60 for the flake additive .he said bumper scrape repairs are eye watering.

the colour in the photo looks like a skoda colour panzer purple
