I have a 1995 Lexus LS400

This “appeared” a some months ago. It comes and goes. Due to the age of the car, the MOT garage cannot communicate with the system.

Has anyone got a remedy?

'ABS' light on dash I reckon!

quite had to diagnose a problem when you have to work out what the problem is in the first place!

we are 'good' but not that good!

There are garages out there with diag systems that can talk to an old LS. Crewe Auto Electrics look at my car when it's needed if you are anywhere nearby?

My first port of call would be looking to see if the wiring into one of the sensors is looking a little 'dodgy', especially as the fault comes and goes.

Slight possibility that the sensor is sort of damaged, but your Battery is one its way out, and the sensor is complaining ahead of fully failing (This to me seems less likely - unless you have other battery-about-to-go symptoms).

Does the ABS actually work (with light off and/or light on), might provide a diagnosis clue.

Latest: ‘Another’, recommended garage “will do it” Friday morning.

More info: the issue started awhile ago with off-side front wheel bearing fitment.
