Called S-Flow, if the rear seats are unoccupied one can select to only ventilate/heat/condition the front. This improves efficiency but may depending on ambient and cabin temps be over-ridden by the system.

Thank you very much. I didn't even know the rear seats were heated or vented!

I've now formulated a plan to turn this vehicle to a healthy profit. My wife is a nurse in a fertility clinic, occasionally they get men in with a very low sperm count. I'm going to charge them for a lift home with the seat ventilators on, after all, they recommend keeping the area cool to improve the chances!

Sorry, I should have phrased my answer more clearly. If the rear seats are unoccupied one can select not to ventilate/heat/condition the rear cabin area. Rear Seat heating/ventilation  (if you have the option) would be a separate control
