For reasons that I am trying to forget reversed into my mountain bike parked in my garage during a downpour.

Result is a minor scratch @ the base of the rear bumper that easily satisfies the criteria as listed in the Inchcape Cosmetic Repair description.of minor damage

I would post a picture but it is still raining heavily.

My question is has anyone used this service?

But I do use the reversing camera and parking sensors though. They work a treat.

The trouble with the reversing camera is that whenever you need it most the lens is covered with mud, and water. I am considering a modification for my GS that should be easier on the NX of fitting a screen washer jet very close to the camera. This could be "T'd" off the OEM rear screen washer, and give the ability of blasting away any deposits covering the camera lens.

Someone on another thread suggested the cheaper option of using rainex on the lense. I have not tried it but could be worth a shot.

I wipe my thumb over the lens whenever I open the boot. Simple but surprisingly effective!

This problem must be related to the body shape or camera placement because I never have this problem on the 430

Trouble is with my new RX450h there are now 4 cameras to thumb wipe 😂

On reflection,with the car perfectly clean / sudden downpour scenario,I focused on garage parking alignment alone.

Truly pathetic.

Will be sorted next week.

Apparently Black car scratches are easy to hide by Touch-up kit methodology & even seamless repairs.

The latter will cost c.£140
