Hi - Yesterday a problem developed in my 2012 CT200H, 63K miles.  Despite the hatchback door being firmly closed the car seems to thinks it's open and of course the warning beeper is sounding. Worse than that is that the car will not lock using the keypad.  I have to take the key out of the keypad and lock it manually. Can anybody help please?

Thanks in advance

It might be a familiar issue:

On a Toyota Corolla Verso that I've fixed a similar issue for, the seatbelt buckle kept getting stuck on the ledge opposite/near the sensor so the metal that's meant to get in contact with the push sensor has been hammered in when closing the door so the push sensor wasn't being pressed in enough anymore to trigger a locked position. Fixed it by put a few layers of black tape enough to push the sensor in. Maybe it could be of help.

With the CT the boot open/closed sensor is incorporated into the lock assembly.

If you would like a new lock we can supply one for £88.61 + Postage. I've added it to our website here if you would like to purchase it.

Our postage is £5.99 to UK mainland and this could be with you within two working days if ordered by 4pm.
