LS430 Transmission cooler question

The transmission cooler element in the radiator is like a piece of 22mm pipe closed at the ends.

i would not trust a new radiator due to the risk of terminal catastrophic damage that occurs if the trans fluid and water mix

For the price of Paul Frosts cooler kit I would fit a new rad and separate cooler.

Its a common failing , unusual for Lexus but difficult to see happening until its too late.

replacement transmission will relieve you of 2-3 grand
