So Had a look at this vehicle advertised by a Motor Trader on eBay,but wasn't apparent what his/her trading details were so sent a message enquiring whether they had a garage etc......got no response until today when I got a call from a   private number. Now i don't usually answer witheld numbers but I was expecting a call from an institution and they sometimes present that way through switchboards. Anyway it was said motor dealer who has my phone no because it goes on the eBay contact details to motor dealers. He was evasive on details  and stated it was a lot of car for the money and I returned with "yes and cars like that that present big bills" to which he retorted "it's a Lexus my friend" Conversation ended shortly after that.......    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174016547025?ul_noapp=true

Seems that one can spot a crook at 5000 paces with a telescopic sight and Clark Kent hearing ?

Makes you wonder if there is a chain of GDPR issues here. If not for the so called motor dealer but for eBay allowing him to present as such and thereby obtain your phone number.

That car has been advertised for aaaaages now, having come down from a higher price previously.

Shame about the bad experience- half wish I had a good 430 to sell as there does seem to be good interest in them.

Odd.. this car didn't sell at ~2.9k, so the logical thing to do is re-advertise it for thousand pounds higher asking price?!

I am surprised it didn't sell at the original price, a lovely looking motor, although most do look good in photos.
