It looks nice but the advisory is on both rear shocks which could set you back £1800+ just for parts!

Almost Roger.

However "Advisory" does not constitute a failure, so there would have to be a significant failure or malfunction of an item or system within 6 months of purchase before the Consumer Protection Act 2015 can be invoked.

Then there's the fitting to add to that, not a straightforward task.  The LS460 has really come way down in value.  Many to be had for little money, and I doubt it will ever command LS400 money in years to come because unlike the 400 it's not the best car Lexus ever made.
