Hi Shafiq

Firstly welcome to the club. It is nice to see another GSF owner on here.

Our 2017 Sonic Titanium GSF had a Diamondbrite  Ceramic coating applied to it  at Lexus Newcastle when we purchased it in June 2019.  Other than the usual stone chips on the front bumper, the paint was in immaculate condition. Two weeks later, the bonnet was covered in Seagull poo, which despite me quickly removing it with Poorboys Bird Sh*t remover left well defined etching in the lacquer.  To say that I was annoyed was an understatement, but my Ceramic coating came with a life time warranty against such damage. I contacted Lexus Newcastle who put me in touch with Diamondbrite, however, before I could arrange for them to repair the damage, I noticed that the etching was beginning to fade whilst the car was left in the direct sun.  Some fellow members on here mentioned that  there was a self healing coat on  the car and  also that heat  carefully applied to the damaged area using a hair dryer can repair / fade the damage. I can confirm that the etching has now completely disappeared without any remedial work, so it may be worth just leaving the car in the sun ( if it ever returns this summer) to see if it fades the damage.

Not in the midlands. They're are a few of us around, and you may come across owners every now and then.

I only know of one other GSF owner in Birmingham, but he's not a member on here. Think there are a couple of ISF owners around Warwick way.

A meet at https://instagram.com/caffeineandmachine?igshid=16suu9nu6xrii wouldn't be too hard to arrange as it's not far.

Not seen any RCF's or LC500s here.

Sorry to thread hack so to speak. I really need to get my car detailed and ceramic coated, can anyone recommend anywhere in the East Midlands, I have a place in mind, but always best to explore options, besides I  need to save a few pennies 😖

Just by way of an update, I've booked in with Lee with for a full paint correction, detail and ceramic. Seems a top bloke and I know he will do a great job. Pics to follow in November.

Seems like somebody has previously taken a polisher to my beasty and not done a good job. Shes giving Lee a hard time 🙁

Some badly touched up and sanded stone chips aswell.

Reason to NOT let dealerships anywhere near your paint!

Shes in the right hands though.

Always take your pride and joy to a specialist, its what these guys do day in, day out. The guys at the dealership at best will have had some training, but they won't be experts.

I had my ISF's paint corrected and ceramic coated, not only did it look amazing with the sonic blue paint, I also detected no stone chips over a period of several month's daily driving. I went a step further with my Cayman and had PPF applied. It starts getting expensive here so depends how particular you want to be.

PS the added benefit is the cars become rediculously easy to clean, especially if you get the wheels ceramic coated too!

I had my Giulia ceramic coated from new, here she is after 1.5 years.

Apparently the paint on the RCF is super soft and progress is hard 😕

He has transformed the car.

A few scratches are slightly visible etc but from where she was, to now, he's worked wonders.

Lee is a perfectionist and a 100% top bloke. He's put his heart into it. Every inch is double coated ceramic.

I think he will have a heart attack if I message him in 3 years to renew it, loves the car, never wants to see it again 😂

The alloys look insane and the colour match of my refurbed one is spot on!

Be warned guys, not all F cars have self healing finish, mine certainly doesnt and it has been suggested to me only Sonic blue might.

Guys - thought this may be of interest.....for a 2015 RCF.

Many customers have the film installed as it also protects from vandalism.
