i'm sure when i 1st bought my IS the ventilated seats worked better than they do now

as in the air blowing through them felt stronger and cooled the seat quicker ,

do you have to clean the seat fans or is it down to the air distribution settings.

any views would be great.

thanks

I wasn't too impressed with the ventilated seats on my old is much better on my gs. I think they were better if the ac was on cold.

i have the AC turned on,the temp on low and recirculate on as well, i still dont feel much air coming through the seat.

The LS430 has small air filters under the seat - might be worth checking if your car has them and if they need cleaning.

today i found that if you have the air distribution set to face level

the seats do cool down quite well.

I tried this today as the temperature was pretty high but I didn’t detect much difference.

i have spoken to lexus today for some advise and from there respsone the ventilation will never be great,

as we all know the seat uses the cabin air to cool the seats so there will be a long delay from turning on to actually feeling

a drop in temp due to the fact the seat foam & cover has to be cooled then your body temp is warming the seat as well,

so we'll just have to live with it.

Must say the ventilation function works really well in my RC, even through a towelling seat cover!

The 2019 model automatically adjusts the seat fan speed when set on max depending on cabin temperature and a/c operation.

Left on max can induce cramp in one's posterior!

i dont know what is wrong with the IS's seats, when i had a CT the heated seats where

really good and very very warm the IS's seats dont get anywhere near as warm

i dont know why they are so different.

The heated cooled seats on our IS has been rubbish from day one, with possibly 40degrees tomorrow, all I can say is am glad my wife is in driving the IS even though my car doesn't have cooled seats 🙂
