Hi,

i have a 62 Plate CT200h with about 100k miles on the clock. It’s been driving spot on with no problems at all, not long had MOT and a service. Would of been Monday last week I started it up and there was a weird shake and noise on start up. Drove it home with no problem, it then sat there for the week as I only really use it on weekends. Went to start it up on Saturday and as I pulled away a warning came up ‘TRACTION Battery PRESERVATION, PUT IN P TO RESET’. The confusing thing is it was in park. I replaced the 12v Battery in the boot and I guess it reset as all warning went and started up fine. Went to pull away again and same thing happened. Now it won’t start at all and won’t unlock with key so I’m guessing the 12v has drained again..... waiting on diagnostic but thought I’d try here before to see if I could get any answers...

Any help would be appreciated. Thnkyou.

Check that the Battery cooling fans are working and that the vents and airways aren't blocked up with fluff, dust or something else, and I don't just mean a quick look but actually get the vent grilles off and clean any filters.

Do you mean the one in the back seat on the drivers side I believe?

I'm not sure because I don't have a CT200h but yes, I think so.

This topic seems to confirm it:
