I dropped my ISF into ATD detailing in Derby for some pampering while I was away on holiday last week and this little beauty was nearly ready for collection. Should bring a smile to any Petrolhead so sharing it with you all.

Is a Chevrolet 5.7 ltr Small block V8 LS1 motor.  In a Mk 2 Escort !!

Major bulkhead and transmission metal work to fit it in mind you.  And still on teeny tiny 13" wheels and brakes.:ohmy:

Didn't get chance to meet the owner but WOW I bet is a challenge to handle

Got to love it though haven't you.

In it's stock form the engine is ~270hp, obviously this is like 3x the original power of the car and it has potential to go way higher then that.

The detailer guy suggested it was up around 320bhp.  Just about 100 less than the ISF we giggled.  All the same.......All that in the front of a MK2 Escort !!! WoW and double WOW.

I've been in a 570bhp mk 2 escort and its insane, I have a friend building a 800bhp cosworth YB Triumph Dolomite, full carbon body, target weight is sub 800kg

Now that I like! Presumably it has the Chevy transmission?

I had the LS1 in my old 1999 Camaro. It put down 315 rwhp & 325 rwtq, t56 6 speed manual car. 320bhp sounds right.

The LS1 is very similar in size to the Rover V8 so quite small in dimensions as far as V8's go and its all alloy.

Some ones gonna have to have big balls to open that up to full throttle with those little wheels!!!

Not the usual transit diesel rattley old tat under the bonnet.  This goes quite well with a tuned crate LS3 V8.....and a manual gearbox. With Around 525hp, it gives the odd hairdresser a fright.
