Fuel economy

Hi all. Done about 3000 miles in my es now all settled in nicely.

A word on fuel economy. I drive regularly from east Manchester to Telford. So urban then M60 M56 to Chester then A41 (yes I know it's not the shortest way but it avoids M6 hell).its about 80 miles or so with a variety of roads. Didn't take care of the fuel economy and didn't hang around on the motorway. I got a fuel consumption figure of 60.4 mpg for the trip which I think is phenomenal!

Tank is not that big. Smaller than the IS. Think it is just 50L. So you should still get a hard day out of it , but  that's it.

I got 6.2l/100 or 46mpg on a motorway run just the other day. Religiously obeying speed limits. How do you get 60 out of it? Do 17" versus 19" make that much difference.  I don't drive hard.

That's small. Still it's a good 20mpg on my GS250 so touring range is probably 400 miles.
