Master remote key

Hi I've been quoted £145 for a a key with remote function from my local Lexus dealer. My GS300 unfortunately only came with a key with non remote functions. I live in the southeast can anyone recommend someone who supply me with a key cheaper?

I'm located in the southeast if that's applicable.

TBH for a Lexus dealer that is amazing cheap if that is for a new master key and programming to the car ( check this is for both).

The problem is that the master key is always needed to clone either another master or slave key so even an auto locksmith would struggle.

Too late now but a missing remote key would have been a good bargaining chip when you bought the car and probably would have paid for one with the discount.

The procedure in the link below explains how to clone the key but again you need the master not the slave key.

Do you need a master key for a 2012 GS 250? Or is it a main dealer job?

I got a similar quote for my LS430 as it only came with one key. Sure it’s not cheap but I was happy with the price considering the prices some other manufacturers charge for a new key. If you want to look somewhere else you’re going to have to find an auto locksmith who has the necessary diagnostic equipment to program new keys to the car.
