Hi

I'm still very new to the lexus world. Liking it so far ;-)

My LS430 is coming up to 160k miles and wondered what kind of service it needs. LEXUS in UK do obviously charge a premium for service but wondered what owners opinions are wrt servicing in other garages other than Lexus.

Specifically I want to ascertain what needs to be included in the a MAJOR SERVICE at 160k miles and what to look out for wrt choosing a garage to do the work. I'll check in the handbook but would appreciate some feedback.

Many thanks

Raj ;)

I've only ever used my indy for servicing, repairs and MOT stuff .....  he's very competent and I was the first Lexus ( Ls400 ) owner to use him ......  some 12 years ago now :yahoo:

saved myself a fortune too ...........  lately getting seriously expensive stuff from Amayama in Japan  ....  UCAs,  upper control arms, which even with shipping, Customs Duty and VAT and UK handling fees works out about 50% of UK  Lexus/Toyota costs

I have been buying my replacement Battery ( s ) two now, from Toyota though ........... cheaper than anyone else and it actually fits the slot.☺️

I'm sure you'll find a suitable indy mechanic that's up to the mark for you and save a fortune over Lexus Main Dealer costs

Others might have alternate views of course

Good luck with whatever route you take

Enjoy the best motoring money can buy
