I am considering an LPG conversion for my Harrier, one of the main obstacles is the spare wheel as I'd want to use that space for the tank.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket product for carrying the spare on the back door, landrover-style?

It wouldn't work - the lift motor and gas struts couldn't cope with the extra weight.

Up to getting this hybrid, all our cars for the last 15 years have been converted to LPG and all we've done is to carry a can of Holts TyreWeld (or similar). This can cope with small stuff but if we had a blowout or something in the sidewall we'd just let the breakdown people deal with that.

And, contrary to popular belief, the tyreweld doesn't harm the tyres - just lazy tyre fitters who don't want to get their hands dirty spreading that myth.

This is our 85L tank with centrally mounted filling point (easy to fill from either side)

Yeah 85L underside tank seems like the way to go if it'll fit.
