With my last car I could lower the soft-top with the cars remote control. Is there a modification to the car I can use a third party remote to open the roof as I get to the car?

Thanks

Hi,

Clifford alarms have seperate channel operation and relays available. A good alarm supplier should be able to sort. I checked but the price put it out of range purely for a gimick.

Thanks for the quick response and doing the research for me 😉 and yes it is just for a gimick.

I have the RX400H and can open the sunroof and all windows by holding the UNLOCK button on the key remote until they start moving.

Similarly, I can close them from the key remote by holding the LOCK button until they start moving.

It says in the manual that the Dealer can enable and disable this. Dunno if your model can do that, worth giving it a try.

Thanks, I knew about the window trick with the keyfob. I was thinking of something a little better than to take apart the switch of the roof open/close button and wire it to a wirelessly controlled relay.

I will leave it, the car is a beaut and I will leave her that way.

The last time I checked, it was about £650 for the Clifford alarm method. There was also a Lux Link product but they are no longer made and very rare to find.
