Hi, I will get delivery of my new 2019 ES 300h F Sport (with tech & safety pack) delivered at the end of this month.

I am dithering between Sonic Titanium + Rose interior vs F Sport White + Rose interior.

My wife (who is a little conservative in taste) prefers the Sonic Titanium but I like both and can't decide.

Any opinions on that?  Help me decide before the window to amend the colour closes this week!!!

I have been scouting around for information and owners reviews and pics but apart from the same old media and US reviews/images I'm getting very little from the UK on UK specification models driven on UK roads by UK drivers? This car has been out a few months now right? So why no articles/reviews (except for CarWow which is not the F Sport)?

I have viewed several US reviews and they are very good but the car is not the exactly the same as the UK car and is always the ES 350 not the 300h.

Also am I the only person in the world without the Takumi pack and larger 12"+ screen? It seems that way based on reviews and media articles (such as they are).

Please feel free to bombard me with opinions, pictures and information of the F Sport, especially if you have the colours above 👍

Hi Sloth,

A warm welcome.

It is interesting that you are taking delivery at the end of this month and your car is not yet built. I thought I got in early with my order and have been promised July. Just 700 build slots are allocated for the UK.

So far as colour is concerned, this is personal choice. There are some interesting colours available and I would not fancy the white. I've gone for Mercury Grey and the red upholstery - the black seems just ordinary. Also the Takumi pack to get the larger screen and some other bits.

The reviews on the UK ES300 have been a bit 3 out of 5, including the Auto Express report. That doesn't put me off.

The US car has several differences apart from the engine. It is built in Kentucky rather than Japan and hybrid is not a big feature in the range. It's a shame that the panoramic roof (front section opens) available on the US version never made it over here.

Keep us posted!

I saw a white F Sport yesterday when I was picking up a LC500 for the day. They also had a silver one in the showroom and I saw a green one on the road  a couple of weeks ago (neither was a F Sport)

I like the Sonic T. It is very smart, exclusive to Lexus and will stay clean for longer. On the other hand, the white looks more sporty, and arguably better with the darker wheels of the F Sport. Somehow makes the car look bigger and more imposing.

Have you checked Lexus online configurator? - It gives you a reasonable idea of what the car looks like in either colour.

Also to consider, if it matters, the white option is £670, sonic T is £920... according to the website.

Note that F Sport white is not a flat white. It is metallic (not pearlescent like the Sonic White available on the Takumi grade), although you only really notice this in the sunlight.

Dont like sonic titanium, always thought of it as a dull colour to be honest. Hence why we have two white Lexus F-Sport vehicles! Id go for the white if given that choice but I do think the ES F-Sport looks really good in Black

Hi all - I ordered my F-Sport as company car replacement two weeks ago, having initially been offered the 'base' ES and successfully haggled for the upgrade. Initially delivery was July but this has now moved back to January 2020 !!!!!  Has anyone else seen this kind of delay quoted?

Thanks for the pics guys although I have already seen all of them in my search for 'real world' images.

The AutoTrader pics in Sonic are not in very good light to be fair and make it look like a wishy washy silver/grey.

I have seen both in the flesh but not side by side and therefore whichever one I am looking at is the one I favour the most!

I'm now having 2nd thoughts about the Sonic Titanium in favour of F Sport white, although my wife is against the white as she for some reason associates it with young BMW drivers of a certain personality type!

Our Nephew has a white BMW 3 Series and although he is a nice guy he is a bit of a poser and she now makes that association with white cars.

Daft I know but there you go.

That's what sonic titanium looks like most of the time. If you look at the pictures they're taken in classic UK grey cloudy lighting

I suppose the poser thing is more about the car than the colour. BMW 3 series, classic poser car 😂

The Sonic looked nicer than the AutoTrader images when I saw it in the 'metal' so to speak.

However subsequent images I have seen online leave me a little cold.

The FS White was more of a 'Wow' factor in the metal. especially with the red interior and subsequent images online have usually backed up that impression.

I suppose I'm thinking the Sonic is more 'conservative' and suitable for business use but then again, white is white, it's not exactly electric pink or anything radical is it?!

Probably too late to change my mind now anyway 😕

So, in answer to my original question.....there aren't any yet, at least owned by any members here?

Doesn't anyone on here have one yet in white or sonic?

Sonic white isn't an F-Sport colour anyway though.

Ive seen a couple of ES' on the road. Both were white and non F-Sport. Looked great, really stood out.

Hi, thanks.

I was referring to either F Sport White (not sonic white as I know that's not an F Sport colour) or Sonic Titanium, both of which are available on the F Sport.

You are right that the white does stand out on any specification/trim but looks especially good on the F Sport with the black chrome trim and gun metal alloys.

I've seen and driven both colours in the F Sport but just can't decide.

In either case I am thinking the rose red interior though.

I ordered my ES300h F Sport this week with Takumi Pack in Graphite Black to Replace the current car (2016 IS300h Advance in Sonic White). I found black was the best colour to carry off the size of the car and not draw too much attention when it’s in a car park. Delivery for mine at present is mid to late July.

Hi chaps, new to this site.  I walked into my local dealer in Hatfield last week, and they had a new unregistered F sport in white with the Takumi Pack just sitting there in the showroom.  They were happy for me to buy it so I’m picking it up next week after the Easter hols  😁

It replaces a white IS300H F sport which I have had for 4 years.

I’m surprised centres are permitted to sell ES models from the showroom as they’re not easily replaced.  My nearest centre sold its ES showroom model to a walk in and now they can’t get a replacement from Lexus due to lack of stock.  I’m thrilled for the walk ins though👍.  The ES in F Sport trim looks stunning in white.

Maybe the photos of the ES F Sport but the rear taillights looked smoked.  Are they, as they look very smart?

Hey all, Graphite Black, ES300h F Sport Takumi pics in and out with initially less than 40 miles on after I drove home from collecting it and at 140 odd miles from today’s effort.

I have only seen one of these on the road since April, probably something to do with living between 2 Lexus dealers and lack of supply.

The Takumi Pack is definitely worth investing in on the F Sport.

will pen some thoughts at around 500 miles, but I can guarantee one thing for anyone getting into an ES - the first days proper drive, you won’t have a clue what button does what!

Hi @STE041, heated steering wheel, with winter approaching I wish I had that option on my GS, I hate wearing gloves! :)

I noticed your mpg dropped from 40ish to 32.2mpg, it will improve once the engine run-in but I thought it would still be better. What is the normal average on ES, 48-52mpg?

Anyway, as I said in another thread very nice car! Enjoy and keep us updating!

I saw an F Sport in white with the flare red interior at a car show and it convinced me to change my base spec for an F sport. Dithered between the white and the bright blue for ages but settled on the bright blue with red interior and the tech/safety pack. Just got to wait for it to arrive now! Dealers told me that’s the only one they’ve ordered in that colour combo so its either exclusive or I’m bonkers - my daughter is already calling it “superman spec”

I have no idea on normal MPG at the moment as I am still messing around with Sport and Sport plus. I have a trip to Leeds and back next week which will be 200 ish miles each way so will be seeing what it does on motorways. Will update after that as may have some fairly decent data. I am expecting 40-48mpg at best and low to mid 30mpg if messing around in Sport modes.

Collected my ES with premium pack, and got 66.7mpg on the first mixed route of 102 miles; on par with me C350e and 520d before this car. 🤘
