Swap stereo head unit for DAB

Can anyone advise..?

I have a 2013 CT Advance but the stereo is not DAB. I've just bought a replacement stereo head unit (looks exactly the same) but has DAB (yaaay!). Will it just swap over and plug and play?? Please tell me it's that easy and I don't need any complicated wiring or aerials...

I think at the very least you will need a DAB aerial.

Do you have the partnumbers for the old and the new headunit? As far as i know the DAB-option on the mk1 Lexus CT was an external module. (or two modules if you have navigation) If so...you should be able to just swap over the DAB module itself and it should work.

There are three different stereo options - each with a different DAB upgrade kit, as the cabling is different. None of the headunits had DAB built-in initially, even if DAB is written on the buttons.

The kits came with the DAB unit, wiring, and aerial. Install manuals attached.

Not sure if you can take a 2014 facelift headunit, when DAB became standard and retrofit that into a 2011-2013 vehicle.

Facelift systems are indeed different, and is therefore not a direct swap... Best bet is to get ahold of the correct OEM DAB-module. But beware that this module is only DAB compatible...and will not receive DAB+ stations.
