I've not seen this amount of extra walnut on any other LS400's that I've seen. Maybe an import? Or a one off customer specification?

That makes sense, as for me, it doesn't look quite up to Lexus standard in terms of fit and finish...I'm not convinced it improves the look.

I guess it's partly due to being plastic whereas the original is real wood and real wood veneers. That's one of the things I love about these cars, the look of the walnut when its polished is just superb, you can keep the carbon fibre or whatever its called.

Would be better if the kit replaced all the existing wood as well, as then at least it would all match in colour.
As for the car, for someone who loves the LS400 and is mechanically competent, I'd say it's superb.

I think you're right, it could turn out to be a great opportunity for someone. I guess the brakes could be seized but if the price is right a new set of discs and pads isn't a fortune.

Thats a Money pit - new tryres all round, new Discs and pads possibly, and setting up, possible head gasket leakage owing to time not on the road and condensation in sump, exhaust probably shot, servicing, with cambelt etc.  But maybe I'm wrong.  Was it the car seen some time ago being a Barn find?

The mismatch wood effect is poor but it can look reasonably OK and beats the plastic fantastic imo.

Well pleased with my Steering wheel if slightly off colour and awaiting second set to complete the circle.  Feels so much easier than just the Leather, which is nice enough.
